Body
What lets this body sense, and answer?
What becomes possible when our systems learn to adapt to life?
What would it take to build human systems that don't require us to become less alive in order to function?
Aliveness is the capacity of a living system to sense, respond, adapt and generate new possibilities — from a body to a workplace to a world. The Institute starts not with one of those levels, but with the relationships between them.
The body is how a system first learns to sense.
The message
In the body
The impulse
A question to explore
From inner systems to larger systems

What lets this body sense, and answer?
Person
What lets a person act instead of override?
Relationship
What lets two people actually meet?
Team
What lets a group think together?
Organisation
What lets a workplace change when life asks?

What lets people belong and act together?

What lets a larger world make room for life?
Four ways into the work
Open questions spanning nervous systems, collective intelligence, power, adaptation, and regenerative investment.
A book and evolving map of the conditions that enable life — emotion is one foundational layer.
Current ways to practise sensing and responsiveness at the body and person scale.
Talks, conversations, and work with organisations that want structures life can actually live in.
The Atlas of Aliveness
The Atlas of Aliveness is a book in the making — a field guide drawing wisdom traditions, psychosomatics and neurobiology into one map, from the body outward.
Exploring Emotions, a free PDF preview, begins with that foundational layer: the body's capacity to sense.

Programs
Self-paced
A self-paced study of one emotion as a way to build sensing and responsiveness rather than override — video, somatic audio, a workbook and a guide. The Freedom Code, on guilt, is the first.
Signature live program
A live cohort exploring what it takes to stay alive inside the systems we are part of — and to carry that capacity into them. Two cohorts have run; the next opens in 2027.
Founder
From personal inquiry to a systemic question.
I set out to understand why so many of us feel disconnected — from ourselves, from each other, and from life. Entrepreneurship showed me we can measure almost everything about a human except the thing that is breaking. The Institute is that inquiry in public: the intelligence of the body brought into the systems people build.

What we believe
Aliveness is not a mood. It is the capacity to sense, respond, adapt, and generate new possibilities.
The body is a sensing system, not separate from the systems we build.
A human system can only sense what the people within it are able to feel.
Systems that require life to adapt to them become less capable of adapting to life.
Change the conditions, and living systems become capable of changing themselves.
Connection is how intelligence moves between one scale and the next.
